150 days, 150 blips
I have to admit to a touch of panic when I returned to Blip today after my time away in Budapest (catch-up starts here and more photos here) and accidentally spotted that the last day of my time away coincided with my 149th blip.
I seriously thought of not doing anything to specifically mark today's 150th, but then re-considered when I remembered that my 100th went by without anything associated with it which made the occasion obvious for what it was. I drove round many streets locally thinking I'd find an appropriate house number to blip, but any 150's I found were either unattractive, badly lit, or awkwardly placed to be suitable. Stumped after that abortive sortie, it was back home to put on the old thinking cap -- uh uh, didn't seem to be working. After a bit of a rest and a relaxing musical interlude, the notion came: how about that large-scale digital clock upstairs? Nah, it's radio controlled and didn't at all like being asked to display anything other than the correct time. So, what next? Something else with a digital display? Ah ha, the microwave!
So here it is. I've thought once or twice that I wouldn't reach the 100 without interruption, never mind half as much as that again, but now all of a sudden this little photo journal is three-quarters of the way to being 200 entries long, and some other fraction towards 250, and ... ...
PS: It's early yet, but I'm tired out all the same, so it'll be tomorrow before I get back up to speed with goings-on in Blipland and begin sprinkling comments around again (thanks be I had access to a functioning internet connection while in Croatia -- I don't think I'd have survived a full two weeks of Blip separation).
