On Our Way...

Day #10 of our trip and headed to Zion National Park, Utah

I was just telling my husband...this is the closest we have had to a real vacation in 8 years. We have tried to take a "vacation" many times, and we have always had fun, but this is the first time we have been able to leave home and really "leave work at home." There has definitely been work on this trip, but we really have been able to enjoy ourselves. And just think, we still have an entire week in front of us....

Today we spent the day driving from The Grand Canyon to Zion National Park.
The kids traveled very well and we made great time to the next campground while enjoying ourselves along the way.

Highlights of our day:

-getting a late start and the kids having an early morning bike ride
-stopping at a Navajo Indian Market on the side of the road to purchase some beautiful jewelry (while overlooking a beautiful canyon)
-my son (now 27 months), having us stop so he could use the "big potty"
-arriving at Zion to catch a glimpse of what is to come tomorrow
-wading in the creek just a few minutes from our campsite, while trying to catch baby frogs. My daughter was very excited to see "a frog with it's tadpole tail!"

What a memorable day....

Thank you to those of you who have followed us on this trip...I look forward to catching up with your journals when we return!
