Fishing!

This is how some of the fish we are eating is caught!

The local market is full of wondrously fresh fish. It's a real pleasure to buy it, cook it in our kitchen very simply (say in a little butter), and then enjoy eating it, accompanied by good wine.

In the background of this picture, the land you can see is the Médoc, just across the estuary of the Gironde. Only a few kilometres away are all manner of vintages of Lafite, Latour, Margaux, and many, many other less well known, but very fine, Bordeaux wines.
