Sails

Last night I drove back from Mt Ruapehu to Auckland (4 hours) and spent the morning in the city working.

This afternoon my Dad and I went out in his boat fishing. Unfortunately we forgot the bait, the weather was pretty windy, but we did remember the beer!

Despite being windy and overcast (and no fish) it was an excellent day on the harbour. It's just relaxing being by/on/in the sea. On the way back in around 6.30pm there were a number of yachts racing. In the background is the Auckland harbour bridge, and in the foreground is the the Naval base is. No ships, that's right ;-)

I am now sitting at the airport waiting for the plane, back to work and reality tomorrow ...
