Old Faithful

A week ago, John and I went up to my parent's farm to help my dad cut down a sickly tree. After we finished, we went in to the house for a rest, and it began to rain very heavily. The pear tree at the front of the house, which was heavily laden with fruit, suddenly split in half! Our next day was spent harvesting the peaches and cutting up the old tree.

I remember when my dad planted that tree. We will have to savour the Pear and Ginger jam this year.
