Power Station Health & Safety

We got to visit ESB's now-decommissioned Poolbeg electric power plant in Dublin this evening, as part of a photography group shoot.

As expected, the guys had a great time checking out all the nuts and bolts, while we ladies were wondering when was the last time someone cleaned out the place :-)

But this cracked me up with its genius simplicity. In any other company, equipment instructions are clearly organised into manuals and you have to get training, high-vis vests and hard hats.
Here, they just scribbled some notes on the back of the boiler in front of the relevant valve.

Brilliantly efficient, when you think about it. :)
