These are what's left of the dozen roses Alex gave me on valentines. They are from when we were first dating. He came to meet me at school and had a big bag sticking out of his backpack. Once all my friends were gone, he takes out the bag and opens it up to reveal twelve velvety red roses. <3

I hung them on the wall upside down to dry. It took a few months, but now they've retained their shape forever. Some cracked and fell, but these ones persevered. We've been dating over two and a half years now.
