postcards from new york

down under the manhattan bridge overpass

(otherwise known as DUMBO) is where I had the chance to photograph a model wearing original clothing by a Brooklyn designer. This was also the day that I found out that my auto focus was indeed defunct as I had suspected. This would be fine only that I am really near-sighted, so now I need one of those vision correction pieces for my camera. Not sure why the auto focus went bad (the motor works, it just won't "read" anything), but I have come to the conclusion that I need another camera, possibly two: one film, one digital. I so far have my sights set on the Canon D20 or the Nikon D40X. I'd be eager to learn anyone's thoughts.
