Striking Images

Every once in a while, an extraordinary book sales man, Saarikoski, comes over at our office and brings along his freshest books. And not just any books, but high-end opus' about typography, graphic design and that sort of stuff.

He's one of the friendliest and most positive-thinking people I know. And his sales-method is bomb proof: year after year he goes around town visiting offices, remembers everybody and their stories, drinks a cup or two of coffee and presents his finest books.

Today's blip displays a picture book of vintage matchbox labels. Saarikoski gave me the book as a present when my daughter was born in 2006. At that point we had known each other for five years and he surely knew that I'm a big fan of everything pop and vintage :)
