Hard work
That's what this book is - it's compelling, but I am finding it difficult. I don't know why either. I have read ten books this holiday so far. Started one last night, read til 3 this morning, and then got up at 11 and started reading again. Finished by 4pm. This particular book though, I had to stop reading and start a different book. Now I have no books left so I have to persist.
More storms forecast for tomorrow. Yay.
We're off to visit some caves with fantastic stalagmites and stalagtites tomorrow. Fingers crossed for some cool pics. Sod's law says that there will also be loads of good lightning shots tomorrow and I will have to agonise over what to blip.
I have hit the point in our holiday where I know that the time is now going to fly before we leave on Sunday. Friends arrive on Wednesday who are lively and great fun, so that will make the time go even faster. Makes me a little sad, because we get into quite a lovely routine out here and it's a holiday, but it's like home. The reality of statistical analysis of the GCSE results, preparation for the start of term and the long grind of term through to Christmas is looming large.
Worse still I am starting to fret about yet another 'test' in September, which will be the 3rd in 12 months, to see whether my cells are normal or not. Having that abnormal result at the end of last summer holiday was devastating, the all clear on the second test 6 months later was a relief, but now I am working myself up again.
Funny how my mind fixates on things.
Early blip - off on the bikes for a while, probably to swing past the taberna on the way back.
