They're ready....
but no birds seem to want them.
We have lots of little birds flitting and feeding in the garden, but the Blackbirds, Starlings and Thrushes have disappeared. You see we also have a Sparrow Hawk which visits every few weeks, and always seems to catch its dinner.
It has been again today and left a lot of black and grey feathers, which I found when I went into the garden this evening.
I have seen it twice. Once when it caught a Sparrow in flight, and another time when it was sitting on a tree stump plucking its victim.
I know this is nature, and it happens, but I wish it wouldn't happen in our garden.
