The Day we went to Rothesay-o!
Through to Glasgow with with Mr H and his errant and wayward son who was on his way for the second of his three resits. They're a worry. Old heads and young shoulders, indeed. So, to Ardrishaig, grab some shopping and on to the boat and we're on our way again ? except the promised wind hadn't arrived by the time we set off at 1pm. And Mr H is a bit of a sailing purist. No engine unless absolutely necessary. I sort of agree, except when I want to get to the destination before dark! Anyway as we rounded Ardlamont point and up into the Kyles, the wind got up and we had a great sail (that's the Waverley paddle steamer coming up behind us). Mr H is a demon on board a boat. That calm and placid figure soon had my poor wee boat heeling to its maximum, every halyard straining as we crashed along. Down to Rothesay as the sun was setting and into a berth in the inner harbour.
Then, out for excellent fish and chips and a beer or two in the Golfers Bar, which wasn't bad at all.
