Steen Steensen Blicher, Spentrup, Denmark

Have you ever heard about this guy before?

He was one of the most well known authors and poets in Denmark. He was also a priest and from 1825-1847 served his duties in the village of Spentrup.

I admit I have not heard anything about him until I met the danish priest whose duty area -apart from Spentrup area of course- is also Greece.

Klaus Frisman and his wife Helle, both lovers of Greece and of greek ancient culture, invited us today in their place in Spentrup. This house is full of history regarding Blicher of course, but not only.

Next to it -where the picture was taken- there is a museum dedicatd to Blicher.
