Sweeping all before him..........(groan)

After the incident of the 'owl in the lum' we managed to get a hold of Donald John our local sweep.

DJ, who is a very sprightly 70, keeps telling everyone that he's retired from the sweeping but each year his regulars, that means a once a year visit, persuade him to climb back up and give the chimnney a good going over.

His other other passion is photography, and he's been recording the work of the local drama groups and the changes in the surrounding village for over 40 years, so we've booked an evening when he's coming over to show us his collection.
