Princes Street

What a great day! Summer has finally come back after deserting Edinburgh for the last month.

Last night i made another trip to Bristo Square to soak in some of the festival activities, however i opted to also go and see the hilarious young Scottish comedian Daniel Sloss and followed this up with a trip to Jim Jefferies hilarious stand up routine. A great night completed with a trip to a club and an arrival time home of 4:30am...something i have not done in a very long time.

Needless to say, it was a later than planned trip into the city centre today. Seconds after leaving the bus i took this photograph because i just couldn't believe how sunny and amazing the street looked in this weather. If it wasn't for the very obviously physical imagery of Edinburgh i could have sworn i was back in Australia what with the weather the way it was. Needless to say Princes Street Gardens was swamped, so busy in fact there was not alot of room for people to sit down on the grass as all the sunbathers were out on force.

What a fantastic week off i've had. Back to work tomorrow. I am toying with the idea of possibly taking another week off before winter is gone for at least one more year.
