Cold Winter Day on the Avon River

Before we moved to Christchurch we looked seriously at a house on the right of the plants on the rivers edge in this view, and thought it would be too public with the park on the left open to people to wander and take photos. When I look at it now, I wonder how we could have seen anything at all wrong with it. Funny how your perspective changes! The river would have been very pretty and the wier would create a lovely sound, but today I thought that the temperature seemed icy closer to the river. Good self encouragement and positive thinking.
I guess you end up in the right place at the right time, despite man made plans!
