It's legal!

Ron and I got our marriage license this morning! I agonized about what to do about my last name for weeks beforehand ... On the license you have to put what your name will be after you are married so i had to make a decision.

I finally decided to take Ron's last name. Part of me is a little sad to give up my name - it's been my identity for 30 years now and it was a name that once belonged to my grandmother who was really special to me. But, I also liked the idea of being united with Ron by our last names... And the hyphenation option didn't really appeal to me. Personally, I feel like taking Ron's name is a statement for me. I'm declaring that I'm 100 percent committed to this marriage and to the family we are creating together ... I think Ron was happy with the decision even though he said I could do whatever I wanted.

Anyway! Another big wedding milestone done!!

This weekend is Ron's bachelor party (they went camping) so I met up with the girls for happy hour at a wine bar after work... That turned into quite an adventurous evening! Good times...
