Catch a falling star

Well I tried, I took over an hours worth of exposures to try and get a picture of a shooting star. I thought one zipping through the plough/great bear/big dipper would be excellent. So I took a lot of shots that way, with no success. Then pointed at Cassiopeia and tried again, and WOW, a really bright shooting star went straight across the plough! Grrr.

So here is one of (several of) the plough, with one of the many aircraft making its way across the frame during the time.
