Monaco

Back in Monaco!

We anchored off shore and got a tender to the mainland. After admiring the yachts ridiculously rich we headed up to the palace and to the aquarium recommended by Sev. It was actually really cool, with a huge tank full of coral, sharks, little fish and huge rays.

There was also some Damian Hurst art in the museum which consisted of several dead sharks in different tanks and one where there was this pickled sheep (?!) but in two separate tanks. The sheep was cut straight down the middle and the tanks arranged so you could walk through the sheep and see all of its insides. Interesting.

After this we headed down to the beach we've been to before and just lay down, read books, listened to ipods and swam. Nice.

I took this photo as were leaving Monaco. it was getting quite cloudy and hazy. I really like the shapes and light in the clouds and the way there's fog settling in the mountains around the city. Some editing was obviously involved, just loving the tints to be honest.
