Lumley Castle.

Lumley Castle is just a few miles from where we live.
Sir Ralph Lumley converted his family manor house into this castle in 1389.
His wife Lily is the resident ghost, and walks the corridors of her former home, where she was murdered by local priests and her body dumped in a well.
It is now a hotel, and in 2000 three members of the West Indian cricket team, checked out because they were scared.
In 2004 the touring Australian cricket team were staying at the hotel, and Shane Warne got so spooked, that he slept on the floor of teammate Brett Lee's room.
These days the medieval atmosphere is enhanced by the staff dressing in period costume.
