tiny snails and the strawberry

These tiny snails, smaller than a 1p coin, were seemingly perplexed by the 'strawberry' on a piece of rubbish in the grass.
There were hundreds of these minute snails on this area of grass, which was a traffic island on a very busy road.
I had this busy road all to myself, empty of traffic, as I was waiting to photograph the scene of a tragic, fatal road accident. All in my day's work sadly, but fortunately, only rarely....
