Road Trip Day #3

From Pacific Grove to Santa Cruz on the edge California's Monterey Bay

We slept last night in Monterey. This morning we had breakfast right on the edge of the water at the Beach Resort restaurant that faces the waves. Then we back-tracked a little to drive to Pacific Grove where we paused at Lover's Point for this photo and spent a short while in the community looking in the shops.

Then we started our journey further north to Santa Cruz. We located this evening's hotel and have a room on the top floor where we can see the coast through the trees. We changed clothes and headed to dinner at Shadow Brook restaurant. We murdered our piggy bank and all of its sibblings (not really) for this one lovely evening. This restaurant was a definite I had put on this week's agenda. The restaurant sits on the Capitola River just a mile or so from the coast. The facilty with its lush gardens is majestic. The food is as delicious as the facilty is beautiful. Please take a peek at this place.

It's now late and we are again as tired as we were last night. We're ready for the sandman to arrive here in Santa Cruz. Tomorrow we will drive Highway #1 along the coast north to San Francisco.
