I went to Wayne State University in Detroit, MI, to participate in the First Annual McNair Research Conference. Ten of us went from my university, and we had some free time on Saturday to see the sights. So, we went to The Henry Ford museum, where they have hundreds of priceless cars, planes, steam engines...even the bus that Rosa Parks became famous on.

This is the hood ornament on a 1930s Duesenberg convertible.

Regardless of what you may have heard about Detroit, I would definitely recommend giving paying it a visit. The Wayne State campus was beautiful, and downtown Detroit is clean and gorgeous.
