Read 'em and weep

Thursday night is cards night. Not poker usually, since I find it impossible to win (and they're my cards, after all), but gin rummy (or even better, for anyone who knows it, Shanghai rummy). The cash, fortunately, is only a temporary part of the game and has a brighter future paying some utility bill or other tomorrow.
