Holiday Home

Back on English soil it was interesting to see the difference between British and Spanish beach life.

The obvious difference is the temperature but the north Spanish coast has it's share of rain. This beach at Budleigh Salterton in East Devon is all pebbles and only a few hardy souls braved the sea even in August.

The beach is interesting because of all the fishing boats and fishing paraphernalia, but also the very british beach huts. The 'Spanish Ladies' in San Sebastian were to provide a changing area and shade. These little huts are more for shelter and tea making, but they are somebody's much loved ideal 'holiday home!'
