Still

...and completely peaceful.

Knowing today was going to be a long day full of driving, and when arriving in AZ, finding the heat so sweltering I might melt, I had a mini photo shoot with my son in the back seat today.

On our way out of LA, I peeked in the backseat and couldn't help but notice how incredibly peaceful and quiet he looked while sleeping. Both of my children inherited incredibly long, thick, eyelashes from my husband, and it is something I notice every time I look in their eyes. And also something I have never captured.

So there I am, riding down the ridiculously bumpy highways, trying to manual focus on my son's eyelashes...quite comical and frustrating.

But I do love the result...it is the only time he is so still, and I can just look, and I mean really look at him.
