What's a day off?

The picture shows Harisen's work on Saturday to emable the villagers to have water on Monday.
He writes:

Yesterday I was out in Mchengautuwa finishing up the well, tomorrow will install the pump.
Today I was gathering the parts ready for tomorrow.
The kids in the picture are Fatima's friends in our location Chibavi.
