Mending the roof - Dubrovnik style..

The spectacularly beautiful city of Dubrovnik was famed for its roofs. During the terrible conflict in the early 90s, so much of this city was destroyed, and has been lovingly restored since. But it is an ongoing task to ensure that this priceless beauty is retained.

The old roof tiles are the more yellow, sunken ones. The new ones (from an authentic brickworks designed and built to ensure that tradition is maintained) are those which are more orange.
