Nearly Christmas - apparently

Today was a busy day! Katie spent the morning asleep in the sling, snuggled up to Mummy, sleeping through Macdonalds breakfast.For any Scarborough child, an important part of the year is the annual arrival of Boyes' Department Store's Santa. He comes on a boat, into the harbour, there's lots of characters dressed up, there's people giving out balloons and sweets, and then there's a big parade up through the town, taking Santa to the grotto where he resides until Christmas Eve. Today, Katie slept through the whole of this monumental moment in her life. 

By lunchtime, Katie had woken up and realised that she'd not eaten in over 3 hours and was not very impressed! We had a drink in a coffee shop and life was much happier after! 

This photo was taken at home after all the chaos of the day was over. The mirror is her new toy that I'd bought her, it makes a pretty noise and twinkly sounds when it's touched, and she very quickly cottoned on to this and was wriggling to get it to work.
