Wedge
In an effort to shake up my photography, I only allowing myself to use my 10-28mm and my 50mm f-1.8 lenses over the next two weeks.
This was one of a series taken on my way home this evening, at a derelict factory premises in the Southside Business Park in Drogheda. There are links to the others below.
Walking around the grounds of the building with it's staff parking, central entrance and three flagpoles, I imagine that those who once worked here were full of hope for their future, both management and staff.
Two plots down in the park is another ex-factory site but it has been levelled. It is strange to look at, as the staff turnstile gate is still standing but only permits entry to a gravel area the size of two football fields. Perhaps a Blip for some other evening this week.
I also spotted this fire engine going to seed in the yard of Drogheda Fire Station, where the kind chaps allowed me access:
