Come in number 10........
your time is up. This family have been rowing on the River Wear at Durham, and feeding the ducks too.
The bridge is Elvet Bridge, a mediaeval masonry bridge linking the peninsula in central Durham to the Elvet part of the city. It is a grade 1 listed building.
It was constructed in 1160, and repaired many times. It has been proved to have 10 arches, although there may be more, as the river only flows beneath 4 of them and the remainder are dry, with some buried underneath the streets.
Not many people were wanting to row on the river today, as there were short showers of rain.
