Starting up

This morning at 06:30 AM: starting up of unit EC5 and EC 4.
Two different stages: EC 5 has a bit yellow smoke, according to the "burner mode" which is used. At start-up we have to go through several combustion stages before we reach the "Premix Steady State" mode which is our LOW NOX mode in which our emission of NOX is as low as possible.
So we have to get rid of the yellow smoke as soon as we can.....

Unit EC 4 has some vapour at the exhaust.
The boiler drainsystem is a special one: the water goes to a basin and can be used again: the vapours go to the exhaust of the gasturbine.
At the first stage of the start-up the steam part of the boiler has to be drained to get rid of water that might be present due to the cooling down of some parts of the boiler during stand still.
Water in the steampipes of the boiler can be disastreous so it has to be drained before starting up.
