These lorries are parked at the side of the very windy, quite hair-raising road down into Zhangmu, the Chinese town at the China/Nepal border. The towns along this road are stacked impressively on the very edge of an extremely steep drop down into the river valley. The border crossing is... interesting; customs officers thoroughly search bags for what they consider to be politically... 'sensitive' material regarding Tibet. I nearly had a little statue of a buddha head taken away; a group of German tourists had their guidebooks confiscated. And this was on the way out of China. Odd.
