Basil Plantation

The basil patch seems to be doing reasonably well this year.

Here's how it looks in early August. We have already 'culled' it once to fill some freezer boxes with leaves, and Mme made wonderful pesto, as is her wont.

However, the patch is not so luxuriant as the Basil Plantation in St Giles, our old house with a walled garden, shown here in 2002.
