The Wonderful World

Took M to her beloved Tokyo Disneyland for a couple of days.

She was barely able to contain herself on the final leg of the train journey to Maihama station. Quote, as we get our first glimpse of the magic kingdom from the train: "OH MUMMY I'M SOOOOOOOOO EXCITED!!""

While I am a big Disney fan when it comes to the films, the very thought of the queues and the heat and the tramping around and the shit food, is enough to make me ill.

But watching the delight on her wee face at the sight of the parades, craning and jumping up and down while she waves to Minnie, quite literally brings a tear to my cynical old eyes.

In that instant, it is all worth it.
