X marks the spot.

On Saturday, our little group hiked down to the spot where George Washington crossed the Delaware River. According to history, his crossing in the middle of the night was THE turning point in our fight for freedom against the British.

This bridge is allegedly right over the spot where the crossing took place. We were warned by a guard not to take pictures while walking over the bridge. Thank goodness I've never been one to conform, because I got some great shots!
