The Butter Slip

Kilkenny is one of my favourite towns in Ireland and has a history going back many hundreds of years. There are many remnants of the old town still visible, such as the castle and the "Tholsel", the old town hall but I especially love the old laneways. This one, "The Butter Slip" connects the High Street which is a modern bustling business area to another shopping street which is equally old. Every time I visit the city I take at least one photo of this ancient laneway with its old cobbles and foot worn steps.
