Queen Canute

Today was supposed to be a nothing day - nothing planned, just one to laze around at home, which we did this morning (I didn't get up til way gone 10am)...but somehow late this afternoon we found ourselves in Sunderland of all places. We went on a Special Assignment to get a present for Grace's birthday. It seemed daft to go so close to the sea without dipping in a toe - or in Grace's case, falling flat on her bum and then commanding the sea to retreat.
