Have You Ever Felt This Way?

My guilty pleasure is P!nk's song Glitter in the Air. I think it's just so beautiful..even though I've never really been a big fan of her.

Today was a typical Saturday. I got together with some seniors of orchestra to help plan the upcoming year. I then went to church as usual but we had this great workshop led by a fellow friend. We got to share our own stories to people we hardly knew. You'd think that we'd all be uncomfortable and insecure but basically everyone in my entire group shared. I felt so much love and connection to those people. It reminded me again that we all have hurts and that we're never alone.

We then sat in a huge circle as an entire youth group and closed our eyes. In groups of eight, we got up and tapped the shoulders of those who have made impacts on our lives. We'll never know who tapped us (unless people cheated and opened their eyes) but we'll know how many people we've impacted or inspired. I was truly surprised how many times I got tapped and that gives me all the more motivation to love and help others next year as a small group leader.

After church I went with Frank to Steak 'n Shake to get a mint cookies and cream milkshake because I've been craving it. We just sat and talked about the day's happenings and then about college since it's coming up next year. Crazy to think that it's all coming so soon.
