Village gala

Yes, it's the start of the week of gala activities around the village. This morning was the kids' fancy dress. Ewan's Popeye picked up 4th prize - I think he'd have done better if he hadn't eaten most of his Spinach while he was waiting. Ellen's rabbit wasn't in the prizes but at least in her case we had taken along a spare carrot. She'd almost eaten the first one before we'd left home.

Just left Ewan filing water balloons in the garden. This afternoon's the raft race where local loons paddle round a wee course and are pelted by the kids as they try to come ashore to win. Great fun.
