Papango

Papango is the Maori name for the New Zealand Scaup.

The Scaup is an endemic diving duck, the only native diving duck in New Zealand.

I had a difficult choice today between a lovely spring scene or this cheeky chappy. I decided to use this as the trees and spring flowers will be there for a few weeks, this little fellow may not come so close next time.
