Some have stones, some are empty

Not a bad day, well it is Friday. I guess not a bad week, second back after the holiday, well that seems like a long time ago. Busy weekend ahead of us, only 3 parties including a dual hosted one with our neighbours. Sadly I fear we will miss the Mela festival again with its variety of Indian food.

Went for a coffee and found the following the abstract collection of grating and pebble.

It started to rain and didn't stop for some time, just to coincide with the festival starting. Not sure if we will get to see anything this year, beyond the street peformers which fall just in our budget. You sense if the clouds were not there it would be very very warm indeed. Spent a large part of the day thinking about the ferry we saw from the hill last night. About 2 hours later it ran into a boat and someone was drowned.
