Is it just me or are tourists getting smaller?

Given that we live on the edge of the world it's surprising how many unexpected, last minute, flying visits we get.

This time it was from some of my favourite relatives.

In an afternoon they managed to fit in some highlights of the stone age including Skara Brae and the Ring of Brodgar followed by a visit to the Italian Chapel.

The evening's entertainment consisted of close encounters of the selkie kind. Sometime's I find it hard to remember that most people don't live without shouting distance of seals, all it takes is a couple of impressed city dwellers to remind me.
