MORNING SUN ON SQUASH BLOSSOM
I had five wizened squash plants in tiny pots and no place to put them. There were a few blank spaces in the herb garden so I stuck them in there. Italians say of these plants, "They walk." Yes, oh, my goodness, they do. The blossoms are huge and much loved by hover flies. The vines have walked all over the herb garden. There is a young squash dangling from a rose bush. I think the herbs will survive and then we will have an enormous supply of winter squash.
I apologize for more vegetation. I seem to be in possession of a hot iMac. It gets so hot I can't touch it. The techie ran a test and said there was nothing wrong but then, he did not use it and wait for it to heat up. It has been dragged home again to await the return of the techie, and the rest of Italy, from the August holiday. Anyway, I did not want to burden its hot little being with too many photographs. It could go up in smoke.
