Sunset from Limestone Corner

This is the first sunset I've posted on Blip. I went out walking this evening in the area near to Limestone Corner on Hadrian's Wall. This is an area where the stone is so hard that the Romans could not move it and had to divert their otherwise straight road. You can see the marks where they tried to lift some of the large rocks.

It is a relatively clear night tonight with just a few clouds and vapour trails. Good luck to those who are going to try to see the Northern Lights. We have too much light pollution in our village to allow us to see them, but I gather Kielder is a good place to go to see them. I will be tucked up in bed!

I took a panorama of 4 images to make this sunset.
