The rough and smooth

This week has more of the rough than the smooth. It was always going to be that way, such is the nature of restructuring.

Today there was a welcome morning tea instead of another farewell morning tea. It makes a change.

There were no jaw-dropping speeches, plenty of politics and rumour, at least equal amounts of time spent productively and on 'transition' related activities, and there were no tantrums. All of which qualifies as an improvement ;-)

Oh, and it looks like we're moving next week. Yes, that's right, I shifted offices about 2 months ago. This time we're all moving to the Registry building. It has a different 'feel' to it and lots of people wear black, look corporate and carry important looking sheafs of paper. I can't see the Web Team conforming to this 'look' ;-)

Then again, officially we cease to be the Web Team on Monday and become part of the Marketing Team (or at least I think that's the name they decided on). Still think we'll be the scruffy lot ;-) And yes, everyone will still refer to us as the Web Team.

But none of this matters, none of this matters in the sense of what is really important, what really matters in life.

You only have one life so live it.
