Ferris

Went to the beach after work to calm the storm in my head.

I laid down for a moment when it was sunny, only to awake at dusk when a large marine layer came through, making everything seem flat and strange. This shot was in that setting.

The image in my head harked back to early photographs with vintage Ferris wheels in places like Coney Island, etc. Here on Santa Monica Pier, they are more modern.

So I played around with the sepia toning and vignetting in Lightroom for the first time to get the feeling I had when I took the shot.
