Lovingly Stitched

I have been quilting for almost 20 years. 12 years were spent generously teaching the craft amongst 400 students back in the Philippines.

Quilting is my passion. Made numerous of them for my children, friends, and loved ones through the years. Each quilt made is lovingly stitched and with a story to tell.

This one is a work in progress for the past 5 years, a wedding quilt for my daughter, Sweetie Pie. Each pieced block has a theme, embroidered by hand, and represents each year of her life. I have done 6 blocks so far, got 12 more to go. I will give this to her when she turns 18. That's 7 years from now.

Three of the blocks are shown here. The block on the farthest right is a story of her first year. Her only nursery rhyme and a favorite was Incy Wincy Spider. The colorful flowers in bullion stitch embodies the flowers in my garden with all the butterflies hovering over them. She was always mesmerized by the sight of it all.
