Orange bottomed bumble bee

At last! One sat still long enough for me to take a pic.

I went out with the mower and found 4 or 5 of these little bees feasting on the bright yellow dandelions, which make up most of what passes for a lawn.

Felt quite guilty cutting them all down, but there are some yellow flowers in the border, which I hope the bees can enjoy : - )
