Maiden Voyage.

Called our friends, heard they are off on Holiday on Thursday, so hurriedly put the boat in the car and dashed around to them. ( They have the swimming pond in their garden, our Test Pond!!) As the rain was threatening, quickly rigged the boat, and we launched her. She caught the very patchy breeze and sailed, slowly away from me! WOW!! What a feeling!
Question 1, Does she sail, answer , yes, but not very well. Steering is poor, takes a long way to turn. Can we sort it? yes, larger, deeper rudder, make a false sailing keel that bolts on the original keel. Also cahnge the Sheeting system, too muddly. she sails, and has got her bottom wet! Hurrah!
I chose this photo as the boat ( She still is un-named , ideas anyone?) looks almost real, sailing a Jungle River. But how a North Sea Fish Cutter got to the Tropics...........
